I'm not sure if you understood the original post. Canavar is saying that a screenshot was taken without anti-aliasing then resized to achieve anti-aliasing. This may have been done because graphics cards cannot use HDR and anti-aliasing at the same time. No current video card can do AA + HDR with the current implementation of HDR in GRAW.

Is it false advertising? Somewhat. It's possible that future hardware will support this option. This game was designed to push current hardware to its limits.

I disagree, I'm running it on a Radeon 9600, getting very smooth FPS, and it looks very nice. I mean, Half-Life 2 certainly runs better and looks nicer but with an nVidia card the tables would be turned.

Re: False Advertisement?

I'm getting under 30FPS with a 6600 which is pretty much unplayable for me, on my current settings anyways.

Re: False Advertisement?

^^^^^I am disappointed by my preformance though. I am in the 30s and well I am used to being above that. (I get over 100 FPS in CSS.)

Did you hear that anywhere? I am trying to figure out if ATI will release a patch for this game to get AA to work like they did for Oblivion.

From what I've heard at GR.Net, GRAW uses some features of HDR that currently is not compatible with AA in any hardware ATI or nVidia. A lot of people say that you just force AA in the driver settings and it works but it's all in their heads. If you want to get rid of jagginess, it has to be done the old way (use higher resolutions).

Thanks for clarifying the point Sarc.

Well, imo GRAW doesnt have good graphics without AA. I would still buy it if it were the only tactical shooter available. I prefer gameplay over graphics. But these are not mutually exclusive elements. Bottom line is at this time (with many good games to play and better ones to be released soon) GRAW doesnt cut it for me.

Re: False Advertisement?

The problem I have with GRAW is that without AA everything is a jagged mess. I can handle anything for graphics from good to bad if the gameplay is there, but I can't handle jaggies on the scale you see in GRAW. It breaks immersion for me and makes everything more frustrating.
