Same. Got two trips, one to San Jose and on to playa that took my computer budget and hurled it out a 15 story window.

On that note I've temporarily borrowed a "full" version to test on my system since the demo performance doesn't seem to be an indicator and can get reasonable performance when setting resolution really low, as well as all graphics options to low. I'm interested to see how multiplayer develops here at TG and that will seal the purcahse for me. Is TG going to be co-op only or will there be this "domination" mode in the mix?

Re: Convince me this is a good purchase....

I'm gonna try to wait myself a bit myself. I just need to be convinced that it is going to be played by enough people on the servers to make it worthwhile. I've burned myself so many times by rushing out to buy a game, play it for a week and then have it fizzle out that I've become much more cautious. At least I try to be.

Having said all that, I could have a moment of weakness and be playing it tonight....

Well unlike BF2, you don't need a lot of people to play. 4 maxes the thing out, and it's still lots of one with just one or two other real people.

Although I'm displeased with the lack of a dedicated server, having more than four players allowed per multiplayer game would definitely be a Good Thing. Where did you hear of this?

Guys, hamachi WONT be used for the release version. The DEMO just didnt have INTERNET multiplayer support, hence we used hamachi to create an artificial local area network.

In the release you'll have full multiplayer support, just like the original GR. You'll have to create servers on the fly, for now. UNLESS you set up a permanent GR server that runs the game on its own (requiring another copy). Usually someone may just let the game run all day and pass down admin rights as needed. This was pretty common back in the day.

As well, you're only limited to 4 players/squad size in COOP missions (which makes sense). Domination maps (there are 4 of em i believe) are limited to 32 players total.

I don't think that makes much sense at all. I just hope they released SDK tools and allow more players to play together in a more open environment then the city that makes you go a certain way. I like options.

Re: Convince me this is a good purchase....

I mean the game is what it is. I dont mind the 4 player squad size. This isnt BF2, if you die it could be awhile before you get to play again. And if you the SL, you better watch yourself because if you die...game over.

The reason why I like the game is the damage model, none of this 4 hits to kill someone junk. If I lite you up with my Scar-H your goin down. And dont even get me started about the sniper rifle

EBWorld doesnt get the game in until tomorrow, so hopefuly Ill see you guy tomorrow night.

They might allow more in coop... but, more then likely it'll be something where you can get more ENEMIES on a screen, which to me is more fun. Like Harntrox.

This doesn't make sense to me, unless you consider that the Xbox 360 version also supports four-person coop.

The patch coming out later is mainly to address the dedicated server issues... from what I've heard. Perhaps they'll add more to the co-op missions, who knows.

As far as only having 4 in a coop, I kinda like it - which is why I said it makes sense... on a SQUAD level game. Remember the basis behind the game - the Ghosts. Having 16 people runnin around just blowing up everything doesnt really fit the bill to me, unless you're doing a map against other humans.

Also, I'm sure the map editor will enable us to build missions where more people are required to complete it. But, for now, it makes sense if the release missions are anything like the demo.

If I want something different, I'll play BF2 or even whip out the ol' J.O... hehe

Edit: I did read the part in the thread where Apo said there would be NO multiplayer Co-Op in the release... I gotta find that info. for myself, 'cause that just floors me. I was under the impression there was just a 4 player cap for the co-op missions.

I'd enjoy having nine players in coop, like the original did; this allows for more interesting tactics involving three fireteams. The two buddy-teams in GRAW coop don't permit much variety, in my opinion, and there is apparently no way for another team member to assume stripes if the Team Leader goes down. The game just ends.

We'll see how good the map editor is. Much will rely on this I assume. As well as any impending content updates.

I'm also hoping that we'll get some multiplayer improvements with the impending content updates.
