Did they tell you to reformat? I had a game company tell me to do that once.

Re: GRAW tech support thread
Strikeman, just out of curiosity, what is your vid card? Only asking because if we can find any kind of common denominator, it might help. That video lockup thing is wierd and could be some type of driver issue etc.

Re: GRAW tech support thread
Its a GigaByte GeForce 6600GT, Ihave the latest drivers. I tried the beta ones and still same issue.
Its frustrating because the the game doesnt crash in a sense that there is a crash log. It just hangs so there is no evidence to send to UBI.
I never had this problem with any other games.

I don't have video issues but for fun this weekend I'm installing my second NVidia 256mb GE-Force6800 on my SLI motherboard......

Re: GRAW tech support thread
On further investigation, when GRAW is running laggy for me, it's because somehow it has been started in high priority instead of normal. I have to ALT-CTRL-DEL and right click graw.exe, and set priority to NORMAL.
I've read about alot of people having this issue, so if you are lagging, I'd suggest checking it out.

Re: GRAW tech support thread
So the last ubi email told me to disable all items in the startup group from the msconfig program. And it looks like it works. Now I just need to find which program is causing the issue and ill be set.
Played a couple of games with no issues.

Re: GRAW tech support thread
Slightly off topic but i thought it more appropriate here than anywhere else....
I had a load of issues with the demo which meant i couldnt connect to games, the loading took forever and just sat on a black screen. Was this a Hamachi/LAN problem or is it still hard to get US/UK players on the same coop game?

On a PC that you play games on, you should only be running the bare minimum of programs to operate windows. Shut down unnecessary services, download and run "HiJack This" to keep tabs on what is actually being started upon load, that way you'll be able to tell when something puts itself into your registry without your consent.

Re: GRAW tech support thread
Most definitely. It's not so great over Hamachi. I can usually host over Hamachi without problems but when others host, I tend to sit at the black screen. The Internet is a much better way to connect and I think it's the ability to set the network upload to something lower. I have mine at 128 even when I have a 384 upload. So far, I've been able to load up every time and played almost as many games as I did trying over Hamachi.

You shouldn't need to set the client to more than 128up. The server should run at 256 to see what effect this has. I constantly get guys running into walls in coop and it lasts as long as 2 or 3 minutes.
