SOP (Game Play) - Choosing a Team Leader

SOP (Game Play) - Choosing a Team Leader

Folks unfamiliar with the original Ghost Recon should understand that there was a voting system built into the game whereby a single Team Leader was elected by the players before every mission. This Team Leader was the person in charge of the Team for the given mission, and his/her word was law. Players were expected to follow the orders of the Team Leader, or they could be removed from the server.

Unfortunately, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter does not have a built-in voting system for electing a Team Leader. As such, it will be expected that, before each mission (whether Coop or Team vs. Team), the players will vote a Team Leader "manually" from within the game's chat room. That is to say, each player will cast a vote by typing his/her choice's name in the chat window, and the person receiving the most votes will be the Team Leader for that mission. If there is a tie, one person should volunteer to step down as Leader for that mission, and then he/she will be Team Leader for the next mission.

Once chosen, the elected Team Leader will lay out the plan for the mission, setting up fireteams and assigning loadouts as appropriate. The members of the Team will then take their places, choose their assigned loadouts, and ready-up by clicking the Start in Base button. Once the mission has started, the Team Leader will be in charge, and those players who choose not to follow his/her orders may find themselves removed from the server.

If you're elected to the Team Leader position by your mates, don't be afraid to take the helm, even if it's your first time. Give it your best shot, and don't hesitate to ask for advice from more experienced players (if any are present). It's always a good thing when new Leaders step up to take the reins, and the expectation of all Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter players at Tactical Gamer is that they provide a positive environment for new Team Leaders. Negativity is not something we'll tolerate.

Thank you for your cooperation.
