Ghost Recon again?
After saying how much I got bored of this game, and competing, unsuspectingly, in the Badger hunt, I thought it might actually be fun to play the stock missions one more time, for old times sake.
It's been a long time since I played and even though I can remember some things, most I cannot. So in order, I would like to go through the original missions again and see how we do. I would also like to make this a serious venture and use proper SOP's, have detailed mission plans and also add a little bit of a competitive element to it.
Points will be awarded for those players that don't make it back alive and in on piece. Scoring is thus;
6 points for a death
1 point for each body part injured
0 points for a healthy soldier
The player with the least amount of points wins the day.
I want to take lead on some missions but would like others to nominate themselves for lead on others. There are 8 places so 1st come, first served though if there is a massive response perhaps we can get 2 servers going?
In the spirit of fair and good play I would ask anyone interested NOT to play the missions at all so we can go out as 'new' as possible. For lead roles, we will randomly pick which missions to lead and then I suggest you load up the game and go as far as the briefing and fully familiarise yourself with it.
NO ONE else is to read any mission briefing that they are not leading, even when we play. It will be down to the Team Leader to brief us. He has his orders from command and he needs to relay that to the team. So TL's, be prepared to put a little bit of work into the preperation. Try and think up some good tactics and interesting choice of weapons for your team.
If anyone should remember anything when in mission or prior to mission, keep it to yourself. There is to be no announcement of any mission knowledge what-so-ever.
Ok that's all the complicated stuff out the way, who's game?

Re: Ghost Recon again?
Why oh why couldn't you post this *fantastic* suggestion earlier?!?!
Like 6 hours earlier!
I just uninstalled GR a few hours ago, figuring that with my shot at the Badger being over with, I really wouldn't be playing this game again.
Harumph! Guess I better re-install if I want in.
Put me down for enlistment. If this campaign gets off the ground, I'll reinstall et al.

Re: Ghost Recon again?
I'd like to do this. My schedule is totally up in the air right now, as in I may be going to the hospital at any moment. So if you want to count me as a definite maybe I'd love to play.

Re: Ghost Recon again?
I should reiterate that time is of major importance for me as well. I'm neck deep in a freelance assignment and the deadline is a mere week away. My gaming time is awfully lean in the meantime, so I might not be able to make an appearance til after.
So... put me down for a maybe in the short term, and a definite afterwards.

Re: Ghost Recon again?
Jex, I would suggest you simply name a date and time, and people will find a way to make it happen. If you go about this democratically, you will have 500 different times to try and work with.

Just a little Badger Hunt scheduling advise.

Hmmm. I'll have a newborn on my hands by then. Probably can't make it then.
