Ghost Recon Night 07/06/2006 (Thursday)
Our Ghost Recon nights continue this Thursday, starting around 8:30pm EDT. Below is the pertinent Tactical Gamer information for Teamspeak, Ghost Recon mods, and the Ghost Recon server.
We gather in the Ghost Recon - Public channel on Teamspeak so that we can have voice comms. The server requires the following, so be sure you have everything you need.
Required to Play
Ghost Recon (the game itself; see eBay link below)
Desert Siege (an Official Expansion; see eBay link below)
Island Thunder (an Official Expansion; see eBay link below)
A quick eBay search shows all three of the above shipped to your door, new, for less than twenty dollars.
The mods, below, are also required and freely downloadable.
Tactical Gamer 3.0 (download links)
Frostbite 1.2 (download links)
Frostbite 1.3 (download links)
Coop Pack 1 (download links)
Ghost Recon Required Reading (no less required than the mods -- read it before connecting)
Server information can be found in this list. We play on the server called Ghost Recon - Co-OP TG 3.0.
Please join us for some excellent Tactical Gamer teamplay and action. If, for whatever reason, you can't join us on the server, or if you've got the game but aren't ready to play yet, idle in the TeamSpeak channel while we play. Listening to games is a good way to get used to the comm style outlined in the SOPs.

Re: Ghost Recon Night 07/06/2006 (Thursday)
It was fun playing those missions, and with this team.
And yes, I saw more steady improvement in operational ability. I liked the good comms, especially in the mission that crashed just as we were gonna move on the final objective.
If I had more time, I would like to run a few training sessions, like I used to for the 42nd, to develop room clearing and other skills.
All told, lot's of fun. Looking forward to the next one.Karma

Re: Ghost Recon Night 07/06/2006 (Thursday)
Typically I'm opposed to putting tournament-style missions on the server, as most of them are rather "special" in their design (and therefore in their gameplay). The missions we played last night, however, did not seem particularly tournament-ish, so I wouldn't be opposed to putting them on the server. Any thoughts?

Those missions seemed interesting and they were pretty fun. I would like to do all four of them in one night but I cant find where to download them either.

Those missions are on their site. Go to the link above, click to enter site, click forums, click d-loads. Then there are 2 sections, tourny missions, & practice missions. Click Tourney missions, once inside this, then you will see the links. You choose the links (hover over them), "right click" save target as, and save to the "desktop" (i'll tell ya why later). Do this for each link, then do the same for the practice missions section. Now you have these .mis files on your desktop. Check these file extensions carefully. If they read ***.mis.txt , you MUST change the file name to just ***.msi Get rid of the end extension. Now place all of the (mission) files .mis into the C:\Program Files\Red Storm Entertainment\Ghost Recon\Mods\Origmiss\Mission folder of your corrcect install path.
You now should be able to play these missions under the missions tab in Ghost Recon....I can.....have fun!!!

Thanks Bribird! Got 'em downloaded. I've got three new missions of my own to add to the server so I'll package them all up for Apo to put up when he gets a chance.
