Welcome to the Tactical Gamer Ghost Recon server SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) Forum.
What are SOP's?
SOP's, or Standard Operating Procedures, are a pre-defined set of practices and rules of engagement, that we encourage all players on any public Tactical Gamer Ghost Recon server to follow at all times. They are designed to maximize efficiency thereby minimizing team casualties, while substantially increasing the odds of achieving complete mission success. Most armed services throughout the world implement SOP's in various formats, although generally there is a recognizable commonality that's easily transferable between most countries and different branches of the service.
The real world versus the virtual gaming world presents some serious challenges in directly transferring SOP's to a small computer screen. A good example of this are "hand signals" which are used extensively by special forces teams, but almost impossible to implement in our virtual gaming world. Therefore, the SOP's outlined here for use on the Tactical Gamer Ghost Recon servers, are a compilation of real world special forces techniques specifically created or otherwise adapted for on-line game play in our computerized virtual Ghost Recon world.
The SOP's listed in this forum should be considered as "living documents" in the sense that they are an on-going iterative and interactive set of practices. In other words, they may be modified and tuned over time as the players using the Tactical Gamer Ghost Recon servers become more experienced and adept at mission handling. Some may become obsolete due to technology changes or actual software modifications to the Ghost Recon game itself. Therefore, you should visit here often to look for changes in our SOP's, or the publication of new SOP's to handle additional squad requirements.
This forum is Read Only and therefore if you'd like to hold any discussion about the various Tactical Gamer Ghost Recon server SOP's, please post your topics in the Tactical Gamer Gaming message board's Ghost Recon Tactics, Missions & Mod Discussions Forum.
Attention : New Tactical Gamer Ghost Recon Members
This is the primary forum where we'll be making important announcements about Tactical Gamer's GR gaming environment, as well as documenting our system rules of conduct and behavior. We would ask all members to check it each time they log onto Tactical Gamer's forums for any new information or changes, that may have occurred since their last visit.
Still confused?
Tactical Gamer employs a group of skilled trainers to assist new players in learning the Ghost Recon game itself, as well as to help transition the more experienced ones to our particular style of game play. To identify those individuals, look for nicknames (call-signs) that begin with the "=" (equals sign) character, before and after their name. These individuals will be able to help you both on and off-line, so don't hesitate to send them a private email or PM, to arrange some one-on-one time to help you with either your system configuration issues, or actual on-line game play.
Here are two current members of Tactical Gamer's GR Trainer Corps.

It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:
