New Policy: No-Show/No-Call
Gaviin and I have begun to notice more and more people signing up for raids and then not showing up and not letting us know that they wouldn't be there. This is a troubling trend that leaves people stranded waiting around and not knowing if you are going to show or not, and trying to give you every opportunity.
At this point we are implementing a new policy: If you no-show/no-call for a raid, you will be removed from the rest of the weeks raids. If you no-show/no-call for the last raid of the week, you won't be raiding the next week. What constitutes a no-show/no-call? You aren't online and in raid at least 10 mins before a raids start time, haven't let us know that you will be later than that (for example, Amalie always signs up that he won't be on till after 8pm due to work), or haven't told someone that you aren't going to be there after signing up for a raid and being added to the group on the raid site. We understand that things happen, and you might have to drop out at the last minute, but for non-emergency type things, take the time to cancel on the raid sign up site, or PM Gaviin or I, or even call someone and let them know you won't be able to make it, and do so more than 2 minutes before raid start time. Obviously emergencies happen, and we will be understanding, and adjust accordingly, but if you no-show/no-call without an explanation, we will be taking action, as you left 24 other people hanging. In addition, Gaviin and I are going to start tracking no-show/no-calls and if we see someone regularly doing this, we are not going to hesitate to remove them from the Platoon. We are looking for consistent players with the dedication to continue to make progress. If you are leaving us stranded when you signed up, you aren't showing commitment to your fellow raiders. I highly recommend that you grab a friend's phone number, exchange them through PMs or in game, just so you have someone you can call if for example you get a blackout and can't get onto your PC. Basically guys, have common courtesy for your fellow raiders and don't leave us hanging without knowing where we stand.

Re: New Policy: No-Show/No-Call
Just wanted to add that Sajier and I aren't trying to be hard-asses here. As he said, it's just a matter of courtesy. As we've already proven, consistency is a huge part of the progression puzzle. If we lose that, we're going to suffer, and we're obviously trying to prevent that from happening.
Thanks all. Let's go kick Void Reaver in the teeth tonight.
