AAR 10/16 Lurker Attempts
WWS Reports
Guys we made good progress tonight, but we need consistency, we need people to not lose focus (like our 7% attempt and losing 8 people to spout because people forgot about it coming right after re-emerge). We can absolutely finish that fight, we can kill Lurker and we can kill Void Reaver. We just need to focus up and do it right, like I know we can. Everyone needs to take it upon themselves to keep up with what is going on, watch timers on important events (re-emerge, spout, whirl, Blast Wave on Mags etc). Lets get in and knock down Gruul and Mags cleanly tonight and get back into SSC.

_________________ I'm planning on respeccing to Irritation pretty soon. Granted, I'll lose the burst DPS from Pissing People Off Outright, but I'll get DoT's and higher damage through AoE's.

I think we got Lurker down to 75% one attempt before he did his first submerge. Thats great and what we should be aiming for on each attempt. As soon as he's out of the water all range DPS should pop trinkets or use temp buffs and light that sucker up ASAP so that you'll have the cooldown running during the fight. Rogues and DPS Paladins/Warriors are the only people who need to worry about threat because he acts just like Ragnaros (or to be contemporary Murmur) and ignores all ranged threat. Unless you're silly and jump into the water at melee with him that is.
One thing we need to organize is focus fire/crowd control on the ambushers. Those naga have a VERY long range and use spread shot frequently to do AoE damage to everyone for 2-4k. One problem I was having was that my original island (island 2?) was in range of one mob on Dominus' island who had no stable CC (traps/sheep) so he'd have 2 active mobs when fear broke (as it always does) shooting everyone. He'd always target the one mob I was in range of first so it was dead by the time the nontrapped mob on my island was dead. I then had two options: 1) Break trap and kill the second 2) Sit around twiddling my fingers. If Dominus switched mobs and targeted the one out of range first I could leave 1 mob CCed in a trap on my island and switch my DPS to his island thus killing his uncontrolled mobs faster before working on a controlled mob which is not killing clothies with their shots. Another issue was that Sajier switched me to an island on the other side (island 1?) and I had no clue what process they were doing and we ended up with 2 active ambushers since the freeze trap was broken by a snake trap and then we had a fun time out of range of everything else once the ambushers were dead. Judgement of Wisdom makes me happy and keeps me doing DPS longer. Who ever was putting and keeping that up gets +love from me. ^_^ In this kind of fight where we don't really have much time to sit around and drink (voidreaver is the same way) its really beneficial for hunters to be grouped with some sort of mana regen. Be it raid wide JoW, group wide VT from shadow priests, or group wide MS/MT from shamans.
