Tues/Wed Cancelled; Thursday still on

Due to lack of sign ups for Tuesday and Wednesday, I am cancelling these two raids. Thursday we are short some DPS, but that's it, I will try to fill those and we will head to SSC.

These are the 4th and 5th raid we have had to cancel in the last month. If we don't start seeing more consistent turn out Gaviin and I will have to re-evaluate people's standing in the group.

That's a bummer

Sounds like we need some new blood to add into the squad or replace some of those not able to dedicate the time for this. Would changing the raid nights help out any also?

Tough call, but that's why the raid leaders get the big bucks!

Seriously, I'd love to see some posts that would tackle unaddressed issues affecting raid attendance for those not able to attend. Is three nights a week too much? Is it the "wrong" three nights? Are there temporary/short term situations in your life?

My issue is not new...between September and May, my Tuesday nights are claimed elsewhere.

Re: Tues/Wed Cancelled; Thursday still on

If we need want to make serious progress in SSC while continuing to clear Gruul and Mags, then we need 3 nights, especially with our inability to have any consistency on Mags (yup I called us on it). Now, if they are the right/wrong nights thats a decision we made because of the poll we did several months ago. I can throw up another poll to try to find out what days work best.

However, taking the time to post saying "hey I can't make it" should NOT be an issue. I had to PM 9 people yesterday to figure out where they stood, and some of them still haven't responded to me. This week was bad luck because we had a bunch of people with RL stuff going on so they were out of town/etc, but I am consistently having to remind people to sign up. That needs to stop.

For me this would help. not sure how everyone else' schedules fair.. I am guaranteed busy wed/thurs all year. Tuesdays are a dedicated RL day as it is Cheap movie night.. mind i have been on of late those days with the fact that no good movies have come out the last month. I would like to see some other day for the raid than the primary days i cannot go. even if we were to have a single day that moved around.. that would allow some people perhaps a once a month available day.. not sure.. mind i am just one person and obviously being a prot warrior not really needed for anything. Hopefully that will change with 2.3.

Re: Tues/Wed Cancelled; Thursday still on

I admit that the lack of attendance and inconsistent progress has gotten me a bit bummed as of late. However I still make time to attend. I personally have no problem with the raid days, but also wouldn't have a problem if they needed to shift slightly to accomodate others. Whatever we need to do to allow more people to attend should be done.

I also think that we might be able to do with an infusion of energy as a group. Whether that takes the form of people re-dedicating themselves to this effort instead of just going through the motions week to week or if it means booting those people who are in this for the wrong reasons, something needs to be done.

My brother and I have had many offline conversations about the pace and consistency that plagues this group; something needs to change. There's no reason why we need weeks to master new bosses. I'm sure that Gav and Sajier will make the right calls at the group level.

To each individual reading this, please think long and hard about your dedication to our success and what you can do on your own to get this back on track.

Re: Tues/Wed Cancelled; Thursday still on

It seems to me we have quite a few people on the outside of the 25 man squad who would be more than keen to fill in when needed (myself included).

However, may I suggest that on nights where 25 mans don't go ahead, Multiple Kara groups are put together to try and gear up players who aren't quite there yet.

Asides from the obligatory "that's what she said" comment, I agree.

I could write everybody my patented *Smarten the hell up* diatribe that Defiant suffered through a few months back, but it would sound preachy coming from me, due to the whole leaving and coming back episode. (No matter how many times I try to explain the circumstances, I don't get the feeling that people believe me, but that's neither here nor there.)

I would definately like to point out, though, that there's been A LOT of work put into the 25 man group by the officers and raid leaders. Sajier and Gaviin have poured alot of time and effort into Resurgent, getting strats and policies in place, recruiting the right people, and leading by example as far as commitment goes. Sadly, the effort put forth by *Some* (not all!) of the team has been lacking. This, as far as i'm concerned, is kinda pitiful. Resurgent has gathered together what is, in my mind, the cream of the crop. A group of people who not only play well, but are good people to boot. Despite differing ideas and methods, Illidan and Defiant (and friends!) have managed to cooperate and give End Game content a good stab. The thing is, If this was Old World WoW, We would currently be sitting in front of Golemagg, scratching our heads, trying to figure out how to move further.

Yeah, that's right. Golemagg. The EASIEST boss in the game. No crazy fears, no crazy abilities... nothing but tanking and spanking. But here we are... the TBC equivalent of Ony and the first large chunk of MC have been trounced... Magtheridon only gives us issues because people don't pay attention... gruul goes bad because... people don't pay attention. And what's slaughtered us every time on Lurker? Spout.

A move that's on a timer, and happens at exactly the same time in every fight.

Oh, the Sheep bosses have been pwning us pretty hard too.

So obviously, the theme here is 'Attention Deficit Disorder'.

We know the fights, and we can do it. All we need is for people to show up, and to pay attention. And then we'll proceed. Right?

Right!

But I KNOW that the people on this platoon want to proceed... If it takes a schedule change, lets change the schedule... if it requires another change, let's make that change.

Let's do better this week, because you wouldn't believe how tired I am of being rezzed just so i can jump in scalding water again and again and again. (that damage does reduce my gears integrity after a while.)

Clearly the issue here is a lack of Awesome Australian Accent Aura (AAAA) buffs in game

I was there for your first ZG kills (although that was when Arkamis and Janreyn etc were pre-TG I think), I was there for your first Rag kill, your first Razorgore kill, etc etc.

I'm like a sexy good luck charm

:P are you trying to say that Onyxia is more challenging. Nay, more important! Than our corrupted dragon friend from the Red Dragonflight?

*sigh* Oh, chad.
