Re: Raid Days Redux
Sun - Thurs are best for me. Fri & Sat can be done usually. Of course travelling for work and the occasional wife/family event can happen on any day and will override WoW.

Re: Raid Days Redux
My schedule is very volitile and I generally don't get an idea until things fall on my head when I'll be free or not.
In theory I'm always free unless I'm not which is hardly a recommendation for perfered days.

Re: Raid Days Redux
Currently my Tues, Thurs and Friday are taken up with Fate. However, if we don't run that night due to lack of sign ups, I can come if needed.
I have also picked up a part time night job, but I should have the schedule in advance so I will know if Im available or not. |

Re: Raid Days Redux
I have a three week rotating schedule. So I'll be good to raid two weeks in a row, and then have one week where i can only raid on Wednesday night. (or, not at all, depending on raid needs.)
However, i'm not so silly as to say that all nights i don't work are free nights to raid. I do still enjoy having a night or two to myself.

Re: Raid Days Redux
did anything come of this? i know a very small amount of people actually posted anything/voted.. i would love the addition of a flex day (perhaps sunday as it currently has the most) where those of us where wed/thurs is very bad might have a small chance.. perhaps even once a month to get into the 25mans.

Re: Raid Days Redux
At the moment, Wednesday and Thursday are going to stay our 25 man nights. Due to the Holiday season we are scaling back to two nights a week, but come January Gaviin and I will re-evaluate and decide our path forward.

Re: Raid Days Redux
I should probably remind everyone that raid days are an investment where the more you put in the faster you see returns.
If we raid 1-2 times a week we're going to be stuck doing Gruul and Mags with only occasional shots at new content in TE or SSC. With more days we'll have more time to practice old content and play with new content. More new content we see the more forward momentum we have. Its a snowball affect really. The alternative is to make a concentrated effort at certain content until we get it down and then move it on. Example: A week dedicated totally towards Hydross without venturing into Mags or Gruul at all. With a dedicated approach we'll get the extra practice time extra days would give us, but sacrifice the loot from other already conqured encounters. Personally I'm all for skipping Gruul and Mags for a little while until we get some more bosses in SSC or TE down. I want to see new content and new loot and not just do the ridiculous head banging in Gruul and Mag failures we realistically shouldn't be having for marginal rewards. Just like we spent entire raid days trying to get Mags down I want to see days spent focusing on SSC/TE bosses instead of trying to do both. But that just might be me since one of the problems I'm having is balancing yet another stab at Gruul/Mags or dealing with real life issues. When Gruul and Mags were fresh and new I could rationalize putting things on the back burner till later. Now that they're starting to resemble a dead horse fully tenderized and beated to a thick paste it gets harder to rationalize and raid days just seem less important since its almost a certainty that others in the guild could benefit from my place in the raid instead.
