Bosskillers has a great strategy. I'd post the link but I haven't made 15 posts yet. Please make sure you look at it and the pictures. Your placement in this fight is key.

Excellent work last night Resurgent!

I'm a fan of the bosskiller site too. They usually have a few different strats with nice diagrams as well as good quality videos.

If that's not the one, it's still very good. If you have a chance before tonight, read this and then check out the video at http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=42710. Very good quality, and it demonstrates the fight positioning, roles, and mechanics extremely well.

There's also a macro shown that might be very helpful for passing the tainted cores (automates passing and notifications rather than trying to do it manually) in what will be a very hectic time.

It's not helpful, it's mandatory. You don't want to have to look through your bags for that core. When you have the core you cannot move or do anything until you get rid of it. Macro it up!

Well I had a Blast last night guys! Thanks for allowing me to come tank it as I do enjoy tanking! WWS reports looked VERY nice and people did their roles well, we are still learning a couple of these fights and how to deal with things on them, but overall--we did excellent! Very proud to have been there through all that with you all, see ya around!

I didn't write it, found it on the WoW forums. I tested it last night, works fine, except if you don't have the core you end up telling the person they aren't close enough to you.

Great job last night everyone. The Vashj fight is very confusing at first. I do want to apologize if I seemed to be telling people that they were doing things incorrectly. My suggestions are just that. I don't mind doing things differently. I'm just here for the fun ride.

Nice progress since I last looked in on you folks! Vashj is a bit 'messy' at times, but the trici si to handle the tainted cores and not miss any. If you can do that you've masterd 80% of the difficult bits. GL with your tries. BM hunters and aff warlocks are excellent on the steps btw for your coverage of the elementals!
