As Gaviin and Talara mentioned during our raid, our exclusive target for this week will be continuing along in Mount Hyjal. I will be posting in separate threads links to the various strategies that everyone should review and learn prior to Wednesday’s raid. Accompanying the generic strategy will be a more detailed analysis that attempts to break down the fights by role to help you focus on mastering your contribution to the fight (as much as possible without experiencing it first hand). Please feel free to post your own thoughts in these threads as well, pointing out anything significant that you feel may have been overlooked.
I feel it is reasonable to expect that we move quickly past Rage Winterchill on the first night. We three-shotted him on our first night in Mount Hyjal; we should all set a personal goal to do our parts to contribute to a one-shot of Rage Winterchill on Wednesday night. We will then move on to the second round of trash waves leading to Anetheron. Keep in mind that we will have significantly fewer NPCs to help during that second round of trash, meaning our own DPS needs to carry the load. Plan accordingly. Be sure to study carefully the Anetheron fight, as well as the makeup of the second round of trash waves. We should expect to down Anetheron this week, with a stretch goal of knocking him out on Wednesday night. With the proper individual preparation, I’m confident that we can do this. I will also be posting a strategy overview for Kaz’rogal, the third boss in Hyjal. It is very likely that we will be in a position to make attempts on him this week, given the focus that everyone showed last Thursday in our first Rage attempts. We will be set up in the Horde camp for this third round of trash waves leading to Kaz, so we will have a new set of NPCs to help DPS again, including Thrall. Please study carefully the Kaz’rogal fight in preparation for some solid attempts this week. I do not anticipate that we will get to him on Wednesday night, but I do expect that we will see Kaz on Thursday night. I expect our goal to be progressive attempts on Kaz’rogal, getting him consistently below 45%, with our stretch goal being a successful kill by the end of this week. Given our progress this week, I also would not be surprised if we finished off one night with a return trip to Magtheridon. It is certainly a quick detour that will net some people some temporary upgrades, in addition to helping build our supply of raw epic gems. If we do this, these trips will be one-shots; if we are going to wipe, it will be in our attempts at Tier 6 level gear. As a quick reminder:

Also, Jaina says that her 'reserve units will reinforce us when battle is joined'. I believe that once we start the second round of trash, any NPCs that died will respawn.

So Trow...is the link to Kaz’rogal suppose to lead to an Adult content site?...

No, I hadn't written Kaz at the time, but wanted to get that overall post out. It wasn't until later that I realized I couldn't edit my original post to include the actual link...

Re: Raid Goals – Week of April 8
Well, 2 out of 3 goals accomplished for this week isn't too bad.
![]() We successfully one-shotted Rage Winterchill on Wednesday night and managed to get Anetheron down after a few attempts on Thursday. We missed our stretch goal of getting Anetheron down on our first night, and did not make it through the third round of trash waves to try our hand at Kaz'rogal. That said, I feel that we have a solid strategy now for tackling Anetheron and having seen the third round of trash, we should be well positioned to master that this coming week. We need to clean up our Anetheron attempts, but I'm confident that will happen this week and open us up to spend more time in the Horde camp. Look for a new post to level-set our expectation for the coming week shortly...
