Non-Binded Raid Drop Allocation Process
The overall goal here is to get all the items used in crafting nice gear and gems out to you guys in the quickest and most effective way. This may seem overly complex, but we gave it a lot of thought and think that it'll be an effective method.
We will handle the distribution of non-binded raid drops in the following methods: Nether Vortex and Heart of Darkness 1) Each Friday or Saturday, Resurgent leadership will post a thread in the Resurgent forum titled "Rare Crafted Item Materials Request - Weekend of xx/xx/xx" 2) If you are interested in a piece of crafted gear that requires one or more [Nether Vortex] or [Heart of Darkness] and you have the rest of the requied materials already, post a reply in that thread listing the following: - Desired piece(s) of gear - Gear to be replaced - Number of items needed to craft desired piece - Details as to why you want this piece of gear (e.g. "this is the best piece for me until Sunwell") 3) If you're requesting items for multiple pieces of gear, please rank the gear in order of most desired to least desired. 4) The thread will be closed roughly 36-48 hours after creation (generally on Sunday evening). 5) Talara, Wintrow and Gaviin (representing each role) will convene and discuss allocation. We will allocate on a role rotational basis, with one tank getting his request filled, followed by one healer getting his request filled, followed by two DPS getting their requests filled. 6) If items are still available after a round of allocation, another round will be performed in the same fashion. 7) We will decide which requests to fill for each role on both an objective and a subjective basis, and we may pull in people to get other opinions. We have no reason to screw anyone over, so even if you disagree with our decision, please accept it and realize that we will always attempt to best serve the platoon. 8) We'll distribute the requested items to the appropriate players via in-game trades as soon as possible. The players will be expected to get their items crafted as soon as possible, in time for the week's raids. 9) We'll post the results of that week's allocation in the thread and re-close it. Epic Raw Gems 1) Within the aforementioned thread, you may also request raw epic gems. 2) As done with gear requests, you should rank the gems from most desired to least desired. 3) For each gem you are requesting, provide the following information: - Desired gem - Desired cut - Piece of gear for which you will be using the gem - Details as to why you want this use the gem for that piece of gear (e.g. "this is the best piece for me until Sunwell") 4) The same thread closure and allocation process noted above will be used for gems. 5) If you are requesting both gems and crafted item materials, create an additional ranking including both crafted item materials and gems. Allocation of gems will be done separately from crafted material allocation, but the allocation of crafted materials may impact our decisions on gem allocation. 6) Keep in mind that you can buy these raw epic gems for 15 [Badge of Justice] a piece from Shaani in Quel'Danas. Overall Notes - Requests should only be made to create an item that will be an upgrade for the set of gear that you use on your main raiding toon in your primary role (e.g. tanking, DPS, healing). Ideally the item should be a significant upgrade that will probably not be replaced soon. - Epic gems should only be requested if they will be used in a piece of gear that is used in your primary role. That gear should also probably not be replaced soon. - The more information you provide in your requests, the more easily we'll be able to weigh everyone's requests. - See a request example in the reply to this thread. Marks of the Illidari As many of you know, we've been passing out [Mark of the Illidari] prior to raids when our supply reaches a certain level. Each person with the necessary reputation to turn these Marks into Shattrath Flasks who opens trade with me receives two Marks. This distribution period typically lasts for 20-40 minutes prior to raid invites, with it ending at about 7:25. We will continue to use this distribution method for the time being. Suggestions are always welcome for process improvements. Note that people who acquire Marks in this fashion should be using their flasks throughout that night's raid. Also note that even on nights when Marks are not distributed, it is expected that everyone uses food buffs, potions, elixirs and/or flasks in order to achieve their best possible performance. This is especially important on new instances and new fights. People are not necessarily expected to flask up for something like a Magtheridon run; using cheap elixirs is much more feasible.
