Obviously real-life can sometimes be unavoidable; see point 5, below.
5) Let another raid member know (preferably one of the raid leaders), as soon as possible, if you will be late or unavailable. This can be done via (a) cancelling or updating your raid signup, if at least two hours prior to invite time, (b) a forum PM, (c) in-game mail, (d) email, (e) phone call, or (f) carrier pigeon. We’d advise you to exchange phone numbers with someone you trust, as that’s probably the most reliable method of last-minute communication.

I post this as a reminder to those who:
- signed up for Friday night's raid, but did not show up
- signed up for Friday night's raid, but showed up significantly past the start time without notifying anyone
At least 17 of your fellow raid members were online waiting for this run to materialize. Unfortunately it had to be called due to lack of numbers. We took note of who was and was not among the 17 I mentioned above; please don't let this happen again.
Do not assume based on sign ups that a raid will be canceled; you have an obligation to show up regardless of what the sign ups look like.
