I will be posting Resurgent’s first 10man raids on the raid sign-up site to be held after the Thanksgiving holiday and into early next week. Many of us have finished our leveling, with more people hitting 80 every day, and I realize that most folks are anxious to get started with the new raid content. These next couple of weeks will be populated with 10man raid opportunities to fill the time until we have enough individuals ready to start 25man (heroic) raiding. Resurgent continues to be focused on heroic raid progression and as such we will be jumping into heroic content as soon as we are able; we will not be continuing 10man raids once we are able to consistently field a heroic raid group.
As a reminder, these raids are open to those who have expressed an interest to me, Gaviin or Talara in joining Resurgent for the long-term. If you have not spoken to one of us about your interest, but are able to commit to Resurgent’s objectives and expectations going forward, please contact us privately to discuss further. We will attempt to field as many concurrent 10man raids as possible based on those who sign up. We will not compromise our high standards of performance for these raids; the expectation is that individuals come prepared and remain attentive throughout the raid. The purpose of these raids will be to get Resurgent prepared to begin heroic raiding by gearing people up, providing raid leaders with exposure to some of the bosses and generally keeping everybody fresh. We are not actively working towards clearing any 10man raid instances as Resurgent at this point.
For those who want to join Resurgent but are not yet ready to raid (e.g. not level 80), don’t freak out. If you are concerned about your place in Resurgent going forward, don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss your concerns. We will continue to move forward with those individuals that Gaviin, Talara and I feel will put us in the best position to succeed, but will still be looking to overfill our roster to help ensure a quality raid every time one is scheduled. In other words, not being able to join us on day 1 of heroic raiding isn’t the end of the world.
It is also worth noting that those who are interested in raiding with Resurgent must remain cognizant of their raid lockouts. As long as we are running 10man raids, it is expected that you do not lock yourself into a raid instance with a non-Resurgent group.
