Loot Distribution in a Nutshell (for non-Raid Leaders)
When loot drops you have 3 options.
1) Need it
2) Greed it
3) Ignore it (aka Pass)
This is done by a rather ingenious and fast way by a system we made up last week when we first started using DKP.
First all drops are linked by the master looter and then a single item is put up for grabs.
If you want it for your primary role then you type 1.
If you want it for an off set or a secondary role you type 2.
If there is something you think the master looter should know you add it after you type 1 or 2.
Example:
Raider1: 1
Raider2: 1 - haven't raiding 5 times yet
Raider3: 2 - healing set for DPS
Raider4: 1 - it's cloth for a plate wearer
Raider5: 1 - won 1 item this week
Person: [1 or 2] [optional note]
If its an upgrade and you want it you are always going to need it. Regardless if you think you can't get it leave that decision to the master looter and/or your guildies. There is already a whole priority system, DKP list, and distribution guidelines that the master looter will follow, but it helps to know how many and who wants something. Because, like the giant disclaimer at the bottom of the rules explain, those are not laws set in stone but guidelines we follow but can deviate from. Its better that SOMEONE, regardless of how 'ineligibile' they are, gets an item than to disenchant it.
