In my experience, Windfury makes a huge difference in the fight. Threat is very awkward in this encounter. The knockback is a physical attack, and as such it can be parried and dodged... or not.

I've tanked VR from 100-20% before losing threat, partly because I have obscenely high threat potential, but also because I dodged enough knockbacks.

Where Windfury helps is when the warriors eventually lose aggro and they need to get it back. Pounding helps your rage, but Windfury really cements it. VR is NOT that big of a DPS race if you do it right. One thing is that VR has a lot of armor. Much more than any other boss in that level of progression, and that acts as a natural limiting factor for your melee. Windfury would help them, but you also raid with 2-3 Shadow Priests and they WILL pull aggro during the course of the fight. From my experience, giving your warrior tanks WF would substantially raise your threat ceiling.

10 minues to do 4m damage is really chump change. This is not a DPS race, it's a survival fight. If you live, your raid will do enough damage accidentally. Just how it goes.

Eh, it's a moot point now that we don't have an enhancement shaman. /cry

I feel your pain, but even a resto shaman can provide the tanks with Windfury love.
