Taking a walk on the dark side

After much discussion concerning our massive number of priests, in specific holy priests, and our overabundance of healers, two decisions have been made and enacted.

First, Lightshow will be returning to Celltar to give us an additional Warlock. This will be a nice boost in DPS and give us another in a class we were light on. Thank you to Celltar for being willing to change back after all the work he has put in on Light.

Second, after several discussions, we decided that we need to reduce by one additional holy priest, and as such, I have moved to shadow. I am still in the process of building everything out, but I am at 860 shadow damage right now, before a bunch of enchants and gems (if anyone has any living rubies they don't need, I could definitely use them). I should be at least at 1054 shadow damage by next weeks raids.

This will give us some more DPS, and drop our primary healers down to 7, and 8 healers when Max isn't tanking.

We are currently looking to add a couple of additional things to the group, and as we make a final list, Gaviin and I will make that public. We are doing everything in our power to make sure this works, and hopefully these changes, as well as the ones that will be coming in the near future will help us all get where we want to go.

I <3 SPriests. And locks too, when they call out using CoE in advance instead of letting the unsuspecting mage kill herself! ;-)

welcome to outdamaging Xyris!!! i hate u...
i stole alot of your addons sajier and it seems to help with many of them, my dps alone went up from like 420 in 10 mans to 510 so thats rly nice

If new addons gave you 90 dps, I don't think your UI was the problem :P

Heh...if you use Violation as opposed to DamageMeters or SWStats, you get an immediate increase in reported DPS, since they calculate it differently. The others calculate combat time as the time the raid group is in combat, whereas Violation only starts counting when you personally enter combat. For casters that like to lay out for a while to let the tank establish aggro, it makes a big apparent difference.
