AAR: Mags 9/13
WWS Report
Great work last night guys! For the first time ever we got past the second Blast Nova, and once we did, we sailed through till the very end. The first time we got him past Blast Nova we got him to 10%. The next time was 25%, then after a couple unlucky sets of Channelers, 3%. Notes: 1) Having both people at the cube for the first Blast Nova helped dramatically. It made it clear if we had both people, and it ensured that we had the cubes covered. Thanks for the suggestion Elm! 2) People need to call out if they were working a cube and die. We need to be able to assign a replacement, so people need to be more active on this. 3) Having Gaviin be the only person calling out the Clicks helped a lot, but everyone should be paying attention and not even need a call. The moment he starts casting Blast Nova, you should click, the moment he Banishes you should move away. ONLY CLICK ONCE. 4) If you make a mistake, take accountability. We aren't going to rip you a new one, but its important people recognize their mistakes, and make adjustments to ensure they don't happen again. We need to learn from our mistakes and improve, and that means recognizing them. We all make them, god knows I have made enough myself, but speaking up and saying "Yeah that was me, this is what happened and here is what I am doing to correct it" just comforts the raid, lets us know why it won't happen again, and lets us know what we all need to watch for. 5) DoT people: On multiple mob fights, you should have multiple targets dotted at the same time. For example on Mags, I run SW:P and VT on both Skull and Square to open the fight, once Skull dies and Triangle moves over, I have dots on both Triangle and Square. The rest of my time I am Flaying/MBing the main target. This will minimize the time we spend killing all mobs, and shouldn't pull aggro off the tanks, you are just giving us a head start on the next fight. Get in the habit of keeping DoTs up on 2 mobs at once while focusing your other DPS on the main target. 6) Shadow Bolt Volleys from both sides. First, we shouldn't be getting a shadow bolt volley from the current target, the interrupters handle those very well. One thought I had was to have Stargazur start working on the next target just to ensure that volley doesn't go off with his fast interrupt. Gaviin, you can do with that thought what you may next week. Overall guys, in 3 nights of attempts we have gone from not being able to get through the Channellers consistently, to consistently getting to Mags, but not handling the Blast Novas, to consistently getting into the fight, and getting him down to 20%. I have no doubt he will be dead next week. Thank you guys for your work!

Re: AAR: Mags 9/13
Great job by all, and again want to say how much I appreciate the solid leadership from the raid leaders. It's a tough job and there are a lot of bad leaders out there...Gaviin and Sajier do a great job.
Thanks once again for posting the WWS reports. Sadly, they prove to me that the 2-piece Voidheart set bonus isn't enough to justify wearing the T4 gloves over the Attumen gloves. The proc rate is just too low. The loss of 21 spell hit was hurting me a lot on Curse of Tongues, also. Back to the bank with you, silly gloves.

Re: AAR: Mags 9/13
Humm...now I'm curious. Does Counterspell usage show up on the WWS report? Because I'm not seeing any counterspells from any of the mages. If that's the case then something needs to be changed regarding that and if it isn't the case then does anyone know how often its being used?
We had 3 mages to start before we picked up both Amalie and Zedd. Really is no reason to leave the burden of interrupts on 2 rogues, 1 DPS warrior, the warrior tanks, and the shamans.

Re: AAR: Mags 9/13
I don't think it would show up on the mages, they would probably show up as debuffs on the mob.
Check there.

Re: AAR: Mags 9/13
I don't think it'd show up on the mobs in Mag because they are immune to the lock out and silence affect so no debuff is gained.
If anything it should show up in the 'performed' section similar to how my Disengage, Distracting Shot, and Call pet show up. Yet I don't see any counterspells anywhere. Edit: Heh...nevermind. It seems like you need to get that information manually from the log since Lossendil (the WWS admin and creator) hasn't found a way to get it to work properly. The key lines to look for are: <Mage> interrupts <Target>'s <Spell>. And for those annoying boss fights: <Mage>'s Counterspell - Silenced fails. <Target> is immune. And if people are wondering if an 'immune' message means counterspell is useless: 8/22 21:35:03.421 Mage interrupts Shade of Aran 's Frostbolt. 8/22 21:35:03.421 Mage 's Counterspell - Silenced fails. Shade of Aran is immune. The answer is no. The interrupt always hits, its the silence/lock out that they are immune to.
