Raiding Mods
These are some mods that are required for raiding are:
Deadly Boss Mods & Omen Some other mods that are useful include: Cartographer DBM is a Raid Notifier for certain events in most 10 and 25 man instances in the BC and Omen is a Threat Meter that works better then KTL or KLH and is Multi-Mob supportive. It has a slight trouble with multiple mobs with the same name in the same fight, but they patch it almost daily and has become very reliable. It can be customized to flash your screen and/or play an audio sound when you get within a Set % of the Main Tanks agro. Remember, it updates almost every day, so you will need to download the new one at least twice a week. Cartographer is an improved ingame map that has every place pre-explored, and it also shows everyone that is in the guild that has the addon, where they are Last edited by Tonk; 10-10-2007 at 06:09 PM. |

Re: Raiding Mods
Just an update guys,
I would consider Deadly Boss Mods & Omen to be a must for Fate Raids. Other mods that you may want to look at would be oRA2, Grid, Damage Meters, and any class specific mods that may help us. Thanks

Re: Raiding Mods
"BigWigs" is an alternative Deadly Boss Mods if you are inclined toward an Ace-based add-on.

Re: Raiding Mods
I would also heavily suggest Recount instead of Damage Meters as it offers much much better breakdowns in easier to read formats, and also a lot more analysis. For example, dot up-time, rage-gains, threat, etc. For pallies I would consider pally power a necessary addon as it will cut down on buff time and confusion about assignments by quite a bit.
As a tank or healer (or DPS as well), I find that pitbull (some like X-perl, I think, is the equivalent) gives me a lot of information that's easy to read and (for me) fairly vital. For example, in pitbull if someone aside from me has aggro their unit frame is red, so I can tell as a tank if an add is on someone that they shouldn't be, and taunt off appopriately. Same as a healer, but heal. As a DPS, I know that I need to stop attacking if the tank loses aggro, and it's good to know if someone else suddenly pulled aggro.
