Popping Sheeps in Jan'alai Gauntlet (Amani'shi Flame Caster)
Here are some notes regarding the Amani'shi Flame Casters that gave us a few problems last night. Sheep pulling got the mage killed right after the target was sheep'ed. And sheeping "in place" requires the mage to chain sheep throughout combat, until the raid can DPS the CC'ed Amani'shi Flame Caster.
Source: http://www.wowwiki.com/Jan%27alai Amani'shi Guardian: ... They have a rend ability as well as a medium range cleanse ability they use to remove polymorph. ... pull the Amani'shi Guardians about 40 yards away where 2 tanks handle them (chain sheep until the Amani'shi Guardians are out of dispell range). You can also line of sight the Guardians from the sheeped Amani'shi Flame Casters, which will prevent them from dispelling the sheep. ... If there are 2 Amani'shi Flame Caster, sap is preferable to poly. ... Without a sap, have a mage chain sheep one (he will be doing nothing but constantly sheeping), while DPS takes down the other. Summary of viable options: 1. Chain sheep Flame Casters until Guardians are out of dispell range (about 40 yards). 2. Chain sheep throughout the entire pack. 3. Use other for of CC, like sap, when possible. I think some of the packs had mobs that could see through stealth, so sapping might not be feasible in those cases. |

Re: Popping Sheeps in Jan'alai Gauntlet (Amani'shi Flame Caster)
On the gauntlet you should not need to sheep the flamecasters at all, just DPS them down first, then the non-mana user, then move on, blow trinks and CDs, move quickly. AOE (warlock SOC or mage AE) the first & second batch of eagles and you'l find you're at the Tempest. That's it, it's not difficult if you get the right pace and everyone focuses their DPS.
