Re: PLz help review the parts I have decided for building 1st pc.

Well, we built the system last night and everything works fine .

Last changes were the Q6600 Tray (with an Antec cooler), an 8800GT from Jetway and a 600W PSU from Zalman.

8800GT:

Wanna thank you all for your input.

Now show us some real pics Al .

Re: PLz help review the parts I have decided for building 1st pc.

I'm very happy so far with how it turned out. It's quiter, loads faster, and even my girlfriend was wowed by the crysis demo (she insists the goal of the game is saving the chicks and turtles from the evil koreans that want to eat them).

Thanks to all for the good advice. I'll post two screens to show you what I used to see in PR compared to now. It is simply a different game. The shadows still spook me all the time, since I've never seen one in PR before .

In framerates I went to 20fps average (and a headache) to 90+ fps ( 1680*1050, high without AA currently, need to test that still). Most of you can't imagine the difference that makes I bet.

This may sound janky but you can tell the quality of a PSU by how heavy it is. The heavier the better. Better PSUs have larger capacitors and more heat sinks and therefor are more heavy.

some good brands are: PC Power and Cooling, Enermax, Thermaltake, Antec

Bah you can barely see the difference due to resizing :P. the second screen was 1650*1080
