What exactly does New Hotness refer to?

Re: Need some help on a new computer

Well, it might be a reference to the fact that the GT is the newest hardware revision that was recently released. Or it might be a reference to the fact that they like to hit 110°C on default settings because Nvidia wants the fan to stay slow and quiet. Or it might be a reference to a snarky comment in the film Men In Black 2.

But today's your birthday, so it's really all three! LUCKY YOU!

One quad core(the QX9650) has already been released, running stock it runs at 3.0Ghz and can be overclocked fairly easy with what I read to 4.0Ghz using stock cooling and with aftermarket cooling the article thinks it could hit 5.0Ghz fairly easy with little heat building up.
Could you link that article?

A little bit off the mark there. The GTS comes in both 320mb and 640mb versions, GTX =768mb and the GT = 512mb. There is a new 8800GTS 640mb SP112 which is a slight revision that benches the same as the GT for the most part but pulls away at higher resolutions. You will need to see some benchmarks to figure out if you need the extra memory though.

Re: Need some help on a new computer

^^ 8800GT now comes with 256mb, at about $50 cheaper than the 512mb version.
