It will be mostly memory and graf. card causing lag for you system, as long as you are getting a good ping to the server you are playing on.
Your CPU isn't great, but I doubt it is the bottleneck the other 2 are. Of course, if you got the memory and Graf. card, your bottleneck would then be your CPU.
The lag you see is most probably because of what I said above. Right now when you play your computer is starved for memory, so it is using your harddrive as backup (called virtual memory).
It will slow you down bad because it is NO WHERE near is fast as even slow memory would be.
You are also only using onboard built in graf. right now, which means your CPU is actually trying to do everything, and all of it not that well. If you got the memory and graf. card, your CPU could worry about other things and run that stuff much faster.
If it is a question of money (parents don't want you to spend), then we could look at you a cheaper graf. card. But it will really be a combo of the 2 where you are going to look at your computer completely different, and actually look forward to loading up a game.

Stoop and you'll be stepped on; stand tall and you'll be shot at.

That will be great cause i dont think i really need a 8800gt right now and plus since my PSU is only 250W max then i definetely need a nice graphics card considering that im not really a hardcore pc gamer but i do like to see decent graphics

And as for a power supply, I forgot to add that to the above.
Here is a good one if you buy it a.s.a.p. and get the huge mail in rebate

Also, I would suggest you go now and pick up a ReadyBoost compatible USB thumb drive. You can get a good 2gig one for $20, and when you plug it in it will ask you if you want to use it as a ready boost drive. Just click yes, and leave it in the USB port. Lots of people poopoo ready boost, but I have seen reviews that show it actually does help when you don't have much memory, like only 1 gig. When you have 2 gigs or more, it doesn't help because you have tons of unused memory already in the memory slots. Ask the folks to give you a lift to like bestbuy or circuitcity this weekend. It might help you get a boost until you can buy your new parts, and maybe some afterwards. Just plug it into one of your rear USB ports and leave it. Don't expect to go from a slow rig to a killer rig with it, and it does take a little while to start working, since it is learning what you use the most and what needs to be put on the drive.
i tried ready boost with my jump drive and i have to say I really see a big difference no more lag when playing on Al Basrah in PR!!! This should hold me until im ready to buy 2GB of ram

Futuremark (the guys that make 3DMark2006) just put out a bang for your buck guide.

It actually says that for the money right now the 8600GT is a great deal.
You can get a good one as cheap as $80 after rebate!!!
And it comes with a free game.
I would pay a little extra though and get an OC (overclock) version.

Also, just read a review of the soon to be released 9600GT, and is is looking even better. Should be out any day now, so might be worth waiting for.

Re: Which is the better processor?

This is what i have so far:

    - BFG GeForce 8800GT video card

    - Antec Eartwatts 500W power supply

    - PNY 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-5300 667MHz DDR2 Desktop DIMMs

    - Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatality Pro Sound Card

One of my RAM sticks is defective so I have to return them, right now im running 1.5 GB and i Dont see no signs of lag so it would only get better when I get 2GB.

All I need is a CPU Which i will be getting sometime soon.
