Re: xfi music problem
Sorry I did not respond. If you are in Vista land that is out of my zip code. I am still using XP and don't know about the ins and outs of Vista. Bummer you are having problems. I have a Creative extreme gamer pro and the software/driver installation went smooth with their auto update feature. Good luck, hope it works out.

Re: xfi music problem
Rite no luck with Vista x64bit (no sound) and XPx64bit (no internet but had sound). So im back to Vista x32bit. I called customer service and they mentioned i had to use the CD they gave me with the drivers but once i put the CD in, it says that my these drivers are not for this operating system. (on cd it says drivers for XP).
Apparently they tested it the way they said and it worked, so the question now is how do I install those drivers? its not letting me through autoplay.

Re: xfi music problem
With the new card I just purchased it came with 2 CDs; One for XP and a different one for Vista. Did you get both?

Re: xfi music problem
If you lose networking with XP64, then you're missing those drivers for your network card. What network hardware do you have in the PC? (Or is this dial-up? In which case, what modem?)

Re: xfi music problem
update: SO i formatted my comp and replaced XtremeMusic with my default sound card, once vista installed I had sound! woo.. so then i replaced my sound card back to XtremeMusic and installed the "Vista" drivers. Restarted, and sound!! it worked perfect. Then i fitting into my comp a network card in a different PCI slot. Restarted and sound stoped working. So i took the network card back out and sound started to work again O.o.. After installing few programs I restarted the comp and i got screechy sound in my headphones.. so i restarted again and got a box saying i have to install Multimedia Audio Controller .. and ofcourse the sound was gone.
What the hell happened? :S

Re: xfi music problem
Sounds like a crappy network card or network drivers.
You still haven't said what kind of network card. (The dg834g is a router, not a network card.)Dude, seriously, WHAT handkerchief?

Re: xfi music problem
What on earth motherboard do you have that doesn't have a built in Ethernet port? It has to be one so old you shouldn't be trying to run Vista on it.
