Re: Curious about multi cores.
Just passing on a post from the FarCry 2 Developer blog about their support for multi-core, even up to 8 cores.
http://blog.ubi.com/farcry2/article.php?content_id=7411 The videos they link to in HD are pretty good, but are the same video almost, so you only need to watch 1 of them. Game was just announced for release this fall.

Re: Curious about multi cores.
New stuff out today, and wanted to point it out cause the guy using the vista computer is using a Q6600 quad.
http://cybernetnews.com/2008/04/09/p...to-the-limits/ "and one Gizmodo reader didn’t disappoint with his Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.4GHz) with 4GB of RAM. He has a video of Vista running 108 applications which were supposedly eating up a mere 30% of his processor. Then after opening the 108 programs he got bored and gave up."

Re: Curious about multi cores.
That is interesting but really not very relivant if the guy has 108 applications running on a Q6600 at only 30%. I would assume the apps were mearly open and not actually doing anything? Impressive but again not very relivant.
What I want to know is in the video there how do you display the programs in that nifty little arc on screen?
