CeBIT 2008 News

Ok folks, thought I would get the thread started for the CeBIT show.
For those that don't know, this is right up there with the CES show in Jan. on getting hardwear junkies all hot and horney.
It is running this week, and when you find something cool, post it in this thread for all to enjoy.
So far I found engadget.com has a camera spy in the hall early, with some good shots to get you going.

One thing I noticed in this great shot of Asus motherboards:
http://www.engadget.com/photos/cebit...nnover/671735/
Is the 2nd poster from the left says something about "5 sec. to the internet"
I am wondering if it is something about that new BIOS I posted about a few weeks ago that allows you do do things without actually going into windows.
http://www.tacticalgamer.com/hardwar...-efi-bios.html

If so, man I wish ASUS had come out with that a few months ago.
Also, one poster has something about tri-sli, which I'm still not really interested in personally. Too much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Also of note, this picture from ASUS eeepc with windows
http://www.engadget.com/photos/cebit...nnover/671759/
Now if they would keep it the same price and make the screen bigger, I would really consider getting one.

Re: CeBIT 2008 News

I'd get a Eee Pc if they could figure a way to make at least a 20-30GB harddrive.

Brain mouse looks very interesting, I'd like to look stupid and try one though.

AMD Demos 45nm Native Quad-Core Processors.

AMD shows off 45nm wafers at CeBIT

I really like the Logitech headset just for ease of use, and that ATI 3870 X2 looks REALLY good, considering it has 3 DVI outputs plus a display link for the future.

And finally, not CeBit related, but something that is very important to everyone, here is a review of 33 thermal pastes (the goo that goes between the CPU and cooler)
33-Way TIM Comparison

It has some interesting results, but the new stuff from OCZ comes out at the top. I have mentioned it to a few people here lately. Actually looks to do better than the Artic Silver I and everyone else uses. Of course any of these would be better than nothing.

I'm interested to see what the new AMD 45nm processors will be like? I really hope AMD finally budges from the 200fsb they seem so desperate to cling to.
