Re: New Creative Audio Driver for Vista

My mic boost always turned off for like a week after updating it. But after turning it back on all the time it seems to stay on.

Re: New Creative Audio Driver for Vista

This news might be interesting to some people:
Creative Labs Quietly Preps SoundBlaster X-Fi 2 as Customers Frenzy over Lack of Fully-Functional Windows Vista Drivers.

I for one will be pretty annoyed if they release some awesome update to my xtream gamer 3 months after I bought one.

That's how PC hardware goes. Crap I just bought a 8800GTX and a Q6600 a couple months ago...

Re: New Creative Audio Driver for Vista

There is a LOT more happening on the creative vs driver modder front

http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...=6633&Itemid=1

That is just one article of many, with just about every tech site doing reports on it.
Looks like Creative actually cut features on purpose with their drivers, just to try and get people to buy new cards. Almost makes me want to go with the new ASUS sound cards instead, since that is their only real compition on the market. Newegg just started selling the new ASUS sound card that was released for $89, so about the same as the xtreamgamer card.
