Ultimate PC Building Guide

Just wanted to pass on this constantly updated PC Building Guide from Nortichardware.com

Between this awesome guide and the many others out there, I wonder if we should get a sticky going with nothing but PC building guides.

No offence to DdogG, but those helpful links havent been updated since 05'

Anyway, you link to the guide:

PC Building Guide

It is basic to a point, and gives you a good start on what you need to consider so you can do more in depth research yourself.

Enjoy................................

so update them......

but actually, I had updated them in the past, as I just did again... the original post was made in '05, and editing the post does not change that. I will add your link as well.

Most links do not change frequently... and 95% of the ones there will be valid for the next decade.

I would add to this Hardwarelogic.com and overclockersclub.com ... These 2 sites have been so very valuable with my new build. hardwarelogic.com....tech porn!

Re: Ultimate PC Building Guide

This is another like right up there with the best guides I have ever found:

The 2008 PC Builder's Bible

It helps you from beginning to end pick the right parts, put it all together, and then tweak it to make it fast.

Re: Ultimate PC Building Guide

New article just posted should help people learn all about harddrive

Giz Explains: Everything You Need to Know About Hard Drives

Lots of good details, and a really easy read.

Site is running a bit slow right now, but should be back to normal in a couple hours.

Re: Ultimate PC Building Guide

MaximumPC has another good guide. I don't agree with a lot of their recommendations, like the cases they suggest are hideous. But they do have some great explinations about the current status of ATI/Nvidia cards, and a pretty good step by step build guide. Also has a decent overclocking guide.

Build the Perfect PC! Step-by-Step Illustrated How-To Guide - Page 1 | Maximum PC
