Just for those looking to get the extremely desirable e8400
I just saw newegg changed their price down to a more reasonable $209 on the retail box, and eta on shipment is tomorrow, 4-4-08

I bought the E8400 (at the higher price). It works fine. I wasn't patient enough to overclock it, but they say it's a great overclocker.

These days the quad cores look mighty appealing. But I'll wait for more cores. At 10+ cores things should get interesting, if the programming world catches up. 100+ cores and I'll wet my pants ;-)
