Chief Value has NOD32 we mentioned above on sale for $19 with an instant rebate (no mail in)
They are supposed to be a sister site to Newegg.com

OK, AVG is pissing me off. I refuse to restart my computer every day in order to update the virus definitions.

So, what's the recommendation for a free antivirus prog that doesn't have you restarting your computer more than once a month?

That's weird, I've never had to restart AVG after it updates.

well, I'm using AVG free, and I'm satisfied with it, easy to use and has served me well since I got it. And yeah I also don't have to restart my PC after updates....

Avast updates pretty much everyday for me but only requires a restart once every 6-8 weeks. Mainly due to core program updates.

What version are you guys running? I'm running 7.5.524 and it won't apply updates without a PC restart about 90% of the time now. I'm running WinXP Pro, if that matters...

I love AVG, it's been easy to use and wasn't intrusive. Then my dad made me switch to CA Antivirus. It's horrid.

I heard BitDefender is the best out there, dunno if it's true.
