PC not starting up. - Page 2

1) Get that logo off using BIOS-fu.
2) Still sounds like POST troubles. Because of your logo you can't see what's happening, but it's probably screwing around on something slow... I've had a few super-slow booters and I think it's a RAM trouble.

or it is trying to detect a hard drive / DVD that is failing / has a bad cable / master-slave problem.

also could be a floppy drive issue.

you need to get rid of the E logo on post to see where it is slowing down, but the fact that it does boot is a good sign.

I told him to pull the drives a day or two ago; Mahmo, you did do what I told you, yes?

no. I just unplugged stuff re-plugged it back on. Turned my power off for long amounts of time..just turned my PC off for a long amount of time..left it on the E screen..and apparently last night did it.

yeah, if you read my first post (the very first reply actually), I told him to do a whole bunch of stuff that apparently was not tried.

Or rather , I have tried a few of them...but they failed to fix the problem.

I don't have 2 sticks of ram..so I couldn't try that first.

It didn't boot with onboard video.

The rest of what you suggested had yet to be tried..it worked after leaving it on over night so I hadn't got there yet.
