PC Manufacturers Embrace 64-Bit Vista

All I can say is this is great news, and it's about time. Means more program and driver support for all of us running 64 (though I really haven't had a problem.)

Hehe, from the link is this text:

TG Daily noticed that Gateway had started to ship consumer PC’s that are running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium.
Who is this other TG? (So far I haven't found on their site what it stands for.)

A unique move is to ship the majority these PC models with the 64-bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium, while the company’s rivals are still shipping the 32-bit operating system. Gateway said that the FX7026, GT5676 and GT5678 come with the 64-bit OS to attract buyers among “serious gamers, high-quality media creators and enthusiasts”.

Re: PC Manufacturers Embrace 64-Bit Vista

This is great news! Im getting ready to build a new system and have been on the fence about 64-bit gaming because of the lack of support that seems to shroud the format. I want my next PC to stay optimal for as long as possible and this shift in policy seems like a step in the right direction.
