Moving to a new house and getting an ISP

Hello all!

I recently began renting a house and have been searching all over the place for a good ISP.
The roommates that I am moving in with have pretty much decided that cable internet provided by comcast is "not worth it". AT&T DSL is the new option for now.

I was wondering if anyone had good experience with AT&T DSL. More specifically the $20 plan, which is the slowest. Also, I need to purchase a desktop wireless adapter since the modem will be too far away to be wired to my computer. Any suggestions on one?
