Internet Connection Dropping
I have a new install of Vista Ultimate SP1 and it seems that every few minutes or so the internet connection will drop. I get a message stating that the connection with the server was reset while negotiating a connection. I have updated the network driver to the latest version but that didn't seem to help. Not sure what to try next, I don't know if this is vista related or not. Another strange thing was that I was able to game in 2142 for a couple of hours with no problems or skipping. Not sure why the connection was solid then, but shortly after exiting 2142 I noticed it connection loss again.
Vista Ultimate SP1 MOBO = ASUS P5E Network adapter = Marvell Yukon 88E8056 driver version 10.61.2.3 modem = westell 327w firefox3 also does it in ie thanks for any help/tips you guys can give.

Re: Internet Connection Dropping
Update:
Well, it must be some setting with Vista or my Ethernet adapter. I am currently on the internet with my laptop working fine, but the desktop is still getting the "network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection." Help.

Re: Internet Connection Dropping
I'm having the same problem. At times, especially during evenings EST, whole chunks of the Internet cease to respond for me: DeviantArt, Google, PSO World, BF2142 Tracker - all of those sites "go down" at the same time.

Re: Internet Connection Dropping
well I'm not sure it is the same problem I am having. My connection through my laptop is working just fine, but the desktop requires a number of clicks to access this same page. It has to be something in the adapter or vista settings. I'm just not sure what it would be. The only other difference in my laptop and the desktop is the laptop uses avg free edition while I have the paid edition on the desktop.
