Antec System Cases Roundup: Six Models for Each and Everyone
Just for the heck of it thought I would post this good review of Antec cases. They cover the whole range and explain the good and bad points of each.

That writeup made me feel good about my P182 purchase. I've had it over a year now and love it. Great case.

And I say, nothing will ever beat the sheer awesomeness that is the Antec Super LANBoy.

Thanks Bamboo. I've had a P180 for 3 years, which I've been very happy with. Now if I can just get the funds to fill-up my Nine-Hundred waiting for a new system install...I'll pick your brain on CPUs and mobos once I'm ready.

Re: Antec System Cases Roundup: Six Models for Each and Everyone
Sorry for slight thread revival, but if I wanted to get that Three Hundred, what sort of fan do I need to get to stick on the front panel like they've suggested in the article?

From this pic
![]() it looks like you can just open the door and put a fan in. Probably just the 4 little screw bolts that come with most fans. See the little holes I marked?

Re: Antec System Cases Roundup: Six Models for Each and Everyone
I see. After some searching and re-typing this post, found that the front panel is 120mm, so something decent like the Scythe S-FLEX should work fine right?
Edit: More and more I read about this case the more I like it. It's a no bs case, just everything you need including excellent good cooling, and a very minimalist style, which I like - I'd rather not have a spaceship sitting next to me . Plus it's one of those small, but not cramped cases, that will fit into the little space I have beneath my desk, while still being able to fit all components I need. Me likey very much, thanks for this review Bamboo, found it incredibly helpful, as the case is one of the main things I need to get right with my build in particular.

Re: Antec System Cases Roundup: Six Models for Each and Everyone
If that is the right size fan than yeah, should work. And that is supposed to be a really good fan. Lots of test sites use it in benchmarking CPU coolers.
The screws included look pretty short, but should work http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowIm...FF21F+Case+Fan Also might want to look around at like Radio Shack or something for some little tiny rubber washers. Many fans come with them to put between the fan and the case to reduce vibration and noise. It may come with them, but I don't see any in the picture.

Thanks, I'll keep the advice about the rubber washers in mind.

Re: Antec System Cases Roundup: Six Models for Each and Everyone
Appreciated. Knew most of the stuff here - only big worry is it being cramped really. Won't be able to show it off through a side window since it will be in a compartment anyway. Like the minimalist style personally. Most worried about if the heatsink will work, but by an off-chance I managed to see someone with the case, thermalright-120 heatsink in it, so happy about that. Might take some ingenuity though. Will also just put one HDD I think, want to decrease number of components as much as possible to make sure of good airflow and more space. Built-in cable management system will also be a help.

Re: Antec System Cases Roundup: Six Models for Each and Everyone
It is a very new case, so not sure many would have it around. I would look at some of the reviews on like Newegg and other places and see if any of them mention it. But like I said, most fans come with little screw bolts, so should be ok.
If not, there are always zip ties.......... ![]()

Re: Antec System Cases Roundup: Six Models for Each and Everyone
Looks like no-one had any problems that the reviewer spoke of on Newegg, plus an average of 5 eggs, and the only other rating was 4 eggs. Sounds good to me. One thing I have to remember though is to buy an external floppy drive. Apparently there's no bay for one on this case.
