Firefox 3 crashes when opening Flash in new tab
When I see a video link here, I normally right click on the video and select "open in new tab", so that the original thread remains available for me to comment in once I'm done watching the video. But when I do this with Youtube, FF3 crashes. I figure it's a Flash bug, not a FF bug, but I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this problem?
Try finding a thread here with a Youtube link showing a thumbnail. Right click on the link and select Open Link in New Tab. I have NoScript and FlashBlock installed, so at this point I get an image of the play button. Clicking that will cause FF3 to disappear and the XP "do you want to send a crash report" dialog pops up. I can restart FF3 and have it reopen all my tabs without crashing.

Re: Firefox 3 crashes when opening Flash in new tab
When I right click the Youtube link and copy it, I get just the normal link. But when I ask for it to open in a new tab, I get this huge link, and this is what causes the crash:
http://www.youtube.com/swf/l.swf?video_id=BcQ7RkyBoBc&rel=1&eurl=http%3A//www.tacticalgamer.com/pictures-screenshots/73557-internet-video-collection-25.html&iurl=http%3A//i.ytimg.com/vi/BcQ7RkyBoBc/default.jpg&t=OEgsToPDskJPHc5xcEYZuSRYd95zcMVa If I abbreviate this down to the normal link I'd get by copying and pasting, it works ok.

Re: Firefox 3 crashes when opening Flash in new tab
I also had this problem with some of the YouTube links. I believe it's due to the character limit length of the URL.
I wish YouTube/Google would find some other method of making a referral URL without having to tack on another lengthy URL from the site where the video was linked to (in this case: TG's forums).
