Firefox 3 and image resize

I can't find out where to turn off the auto resizing of images to fit the screen.

2 questions
1) if the picture loads and is shrunk to fit screen and you save the picture to your computer, does it save the shrunk size or the full version?
2) how does one turn off the auto resizing? I can't find it in the options anywhere. i did a help search in firefox and the link that appears promising takes you to a place that has nothing to do with the link.

http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/1812/...image_resizing

Go to about:config (that's a URL, but the forum won't let me enter it as one so you can click on it) and set browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing to false.

More about:config settings here:

Re: Firefox 3 and image resize

When you save any picture, it will save the picture as "full-size".

The shrunken version on screen is just so you can see the whole picture instead of having to scroll around. It's like opening up a image in the Windows Picture Viewer (with zooming in/out).

Re: Firefox 3 and image resize

You do know that all you have to do is click on the resized image to enlarge it to full size, right?

How is Firefox 3 working in general? Any major problems? I use 35 add-ons and I would have to kill myself if one of them didn't work.

Err...off topic.

If you care to ask in the Firefox Social Group, you'll get plenty of answers.

If I wanted to ask the firefox social group I would have done that. Do you have an answer for me or are you just going to complain.

The browser is great. MUCH better than v.2

Many plugins still haven't been updated, though... I'm disappointed in that regard.

They are working on it, and some of the upgrades are coming with time, just be patient and it won't take long.

Thank you kind sir, much obliged.

I think I'll wait a little while longer.

Eeesh. Was just trying to keep a topic on topic. If I came off as mean, I apologize, but like I said I was just trying to keep the subject focused.

Listing the 35 addons would help. I can't imagine running with that many, but I probably have that many addons in WoW.

FF doesn't stand still. Likely at any given time some of those addons will be broken, just not the same ones.

I know that in WoW addons are always getting orphaned as coders leave the game and no one picks up the code. I expect a similar thing happens to FF addons.

The ones I find critical are NoScript, FlashBlock, and ChatZilla. There's one I use at the office that I forget to use at home that prompts me to download a PDF instead of viewing it in the browser, so when I click on a datasheet, I can save it away for future reference without bringing my browsing to a halt while the file downloads.
