Need Help Finding More Info on Realtek ACL1200?

According to Realtek's official website, the ACL1200 does not exist. I can't even find a HD audio driver for it. ASUS's website offers no other information other than it is used in their latest high-end boards.

I've also found a few forums mentioning that Realtek's site is "outdated". As far as I can tell the ACL889 chipset should be the latest one.

Anyone know where I can find out more information about the ACL1200?

Do the SoundMax drivers listen on ASUS's website not work?

I think you misunderstood me.

I have drivers for the onboard sound, but I was trying to get more information about the chipset. I've been taking a look at HD Audio specification from Intel's website and was intrigued by the setup and wanted to learn more about my particular audio chipset.

You might have a hard time. Seems like the ALC1200 is a custom made part.

That's just great. Hmm, might explain why I've only seen it on some brands and usually on boards priced above $120.

Try here.

Have a look at the ALC888 and ALC888S.

I can't seem to download the PDFs. Hmm, I'm going to try again tomorrow.

Thanks for the link Dick. I apologize for not being able to +rep you due to my lowly membership. Perhaps someone else will be kind enough to do so on my behalf.
