Again, I would say don't even try the BIOS flashing from in Windows (the FlashMenu). Read what I said above about what happened to me.

Look through your motherboard manual book and see what other ways you can flash. The thumb flash drive method is really easy and much safer.

Re: Crashes with my new computer

Allright I'm not going to flash it then. But do I need to for update? And how does that happen from thumpdrive? I install program there and then run it?

Also is that AbitEQ safe to use, that doesn't seem to be flash program, but I don't know if it uses BIOS.

EDIT: 1,5h HL2 today, no crash, no problems. Longest time without crash and breaks. After getting DVD drive and installing that AbitEQ (if it is good), I will do that over night run (12h), in desktop. Also played SC:FA from my outer hard drive, normally I was able to play it for 30mins, now whole game. Some FPS droppings with about 100 units in screen @ max graphics : P I would like to have 2000 units : (

And about clocking, because this caused some problems and I was unable to find any proper guide for my CPU, is there any little changes that I could make so I get it even to 2.8GHz? I will check cooler when I visit PC-store next time but my current money situation doesn't meaby allow me to buy new 1 (so I could clock to 3.0GHz). I remember crysis lagging bit before clocking, after it nothing.

AbitEQ should be fine to use.
To flash with a thumbdrive (if you board allows it), you just copy the file to the thumbdrive, and when you open BIOS, you point it to the thumb drive (like drive G: or whatever), and the BIOS does the rest.
Try and use the 2 utilities you mentioned above to figure out what BIOS version you have right now. It is ok to use the BIOS flashing utility to find this out, just don't use it to flash. I know the ASUS utility has a button option to tell you what BIOS version you are running so ABIT may have one as well.
Here are the versions according to the USA site
    http://www.uabit.com/index.php?optio..._name=IP35+Pro

I take it the P in your model number stands for PRO?
Just decided to look at your manual
    http://www.uabit.com/index.php?optio..._name=IP35+Pro

I read though and it doesn't say anything at all about flashing the BIOS, so it must be somewhere on the site. Weird there are no options in the BIOS for it though.

You do have something called Guru which will let you overclock easily from within windows (it should be on your install disk). That would be an easy way to overclock, once you get all the crashing fixed and a new CPU cooler. But even better would be get the cooler, then go into the BIOS and change the FSB up about 50. Stock should be like 266 I think, and I have my q6600 at like 333, so it runs about 3.0. You can probably go higher, but even Crysis doesn't make full use of the CPU, so why would you?

Here is a link with a guide for overclocking your CPU. It is rather lengthy and detailed. The basics are you want to up your FSB in the BIOS, then test using Prime95, while watching your temperatures. The guide goes into alot of detail but try not to read to much into it. This article is to get the absolute highest out of your CPU, something most people don't really need (just benching nerds )

    http://forums.extremeoverclocking.co...d.php?t=261409

    Here is Coretemp
    http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

Here is Prime 95. *be sure to enable error checking as outlined in the linked guide* Be sure to download the version for your OS
    http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm

Hope that gets you on track. Overclocking is all trial and error, every chip is different and every combination of parts will result in different results.

I think Pro version is diffrent from mine, because I don't see any mentions about Guru software.
But yeah no instructions about flashing BIOS, so I will leave it for now. It seems all problems are fixed, and also that this motherboard should be pretty new (includes good BIOS), so I won't take risk to flash my BIOS for now.
If cooler is around 50€ I will get 1 if it isn't, well that means I will clock just little amount (to 2.8GHz max). Too tired now to read all that you guys send to me : P

I thing that 95 thing is somewhat like AbitEQ , so I won't load it, unless you prefer me to.

PS: No crashes today (and about 2-3hours of playing)! I thank you for all effort you have already done to help me, fix those annoying crashes.
It took 1 page to fix my video card, 1 to fix my bios problems (clocking) and now finally fixing those little things.
Even though I did clean my table with potato brush you keeped helping me. I mean... After those mistakes : O (it didn't get any shinyer). Lets just hope this keeps working like it should!

I don't know anything about AbitEQ. What I do know is that Prime95 has been used for years as the standard overclocking stress test. It also will stress all four cores at 100% load. Also when you enable error checking it will stop the tests and tell you there was an error and tell you how long the test ran (nice to know as an error after 15 minutes is bad, an error after 20 hours may be acceptable?). I would recommend that if you want to do any overclocking at all you grab this free software.

Re: Crashes with my new computer

Just about every tech site uses Prime95 to test their overclocks, as well as most overclocking forums. Even if you arn't overclocking, if you want to just stress your system to see if it is stable, it is a great program.

Re: Crashes with my new computer

When I overclock my CPU I will use 95 then. Instructions were bit hard to get clear with, too many numbers...

I will use AbitEQ for core tempetures. I will keep my computer on for night now with Task Manager + resource monitor on. But won't do torture run or whatever (it was totally too confusing, and uses electricity LOT). Also I think it is really no use now whit my current cooler, because if CPU fails reason will be propably it.

24h+ without single crash. Some problems running sup com when many units in screen. Reason is 90% in "slow" CPU. Starting to get annoyed for still not getting my DVD drive...

EDIT: Allright I don't do overnight drive this time, meaby after clocking.
