Youtomb - an MIT study.
I found this and thought it was really interesting. It's an MIT study that follows videos being removed from youtube for copyright violations and other removals. Check out the statistics page. They even have a feed on the main page showing off recently scanned videos.

I enjoy the rapid removal of Olympic videos, since the whole thing is about pleasing the broadcast sponsors now, rather than immortalizing the performances of the world's greatest athletes, which is exactly the sort of thing the internet's "good side" is supposed to be able to do.
Instead, if you want to see Phelps flip out, you have to ask Anonymous for a non-shooped GIF. Countdown until [s]YouTomb is assassinated[/s] freedom is liberated by DMCA. 3... 2... 1...
