Read tons of magazines online for free

Lifehacker.com has a post about a new site that lets you read magazines online for free, and after looking at the site, they do have a ton to choose from. I just got through reading the past 2 issues of PCgamer.

But:

You may not want to get too used to Mygazines, though, as Yahoo News reports that publishers are looking for ways to shut it down
Read them while you can.............

Re: Read tons of magazines online for free

I just read a issue of PC Gamer, PC Mag, and PC World.

Those magazines are becoming less and less interesting. Not much useful information for me anymore. They have become skimpy on details for some products (reads more like USA Today).

Re: Read tons of magazines online for free

Probably not, which is why it isn't based in the USA. Mags get posted by people who scan them in page by page, and there is a link if you want to submit one.

Interesting this is though they leave every single advertisement in, so the ad companies are still getting what they paid for, which is someone seeing their ad.

The ad companies actually get more coverage than ever now.

Don't think it'll get shut down since publishing companies would probably want to settle some sort of fee with the site.
