I HAVE THE POWER!!!!!!! (new rig)
I am planning on installing Vista 64.
Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Western Digital 500GB OEM
Diamond Radeon 4870X2
4GB OCZ DDR2 800
X-fi Extreme Gamer
Corsair 750Watt power supply
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66Ghz
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS4P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
I am going to assemble it tonight and OC the hell out of the 9450.
I may not need to upgrade until 2012 if things keep going like they are. If I need to depending on how far my OC goes I might just get another X2 down the line.

yup i have my Q9450 at 2.8 because they run alittle warm
the warm days
dont help either im running this cooler with 2x120mm fans and running
between 60-63c during the day and 53 at night

I am using stock cooling but my case comes with tons of fans.

same case i have, Antec 900 gaming case. and still had to go with

idle with as warm as it is 42-45c gaming 52c and thats with the cooler i posted above and fans are at 100%
just be careful bro, if you go that high on a stock cooler that Q9450
wont last ya long... like i said im at 2.8 (seems to be a sweet spot with these)
and you see my temps,,, your talking3.0 and higher,, you'll fry it for sure
