3 new toys from Black & Decker
This was just posted and looks like a few good ways to help you save a bit of money on your electric bill.
Black & Decker Launches Energy Saver Series Tools
I had already read about the auto light switch in Popular Mac. magizine, but the other 2 are new to me. They say the power meter is for sale on amazon already, so I looked it up:

And it already has some good reviews, including a good video review:

Might be a fun stocking stuffer......

But watch the video at amazon and see what all it does. Pretty trick. I would like to get it and test my computer on and off, and also while gaming.

Would be nice to get the information into the PC instead of on a remote... I want to display this on the TV or on a web server. Defeating the purpose of saving energy, but hey.

Hmm, interesting. Could end up calling up ComEd to debate the billing...hehe.

The most power consumption comes from this computer room.
All the lights in my house are already fluorescent Energy-Star bulbs. Been using them for over 5 years now.
My next step is to replace most of the first floor ones with LED bulbs, but need to find the perfect ones that'll give me good light without the white harshness.Acreo Aeneas
