DIY external iPhone keyboards get a tad more practical

This was just posted on Engadget, and if this comes out for like $30, it would be an awesome thing to carry on trips and stuff.

Not to be sarcastic but, defeats the whole purpose of having an iPhone doesnt it?
Might as well ruck with Blackberry Bolds or other similar "qwerty" keyboard phones.
    But that's just my opinion.

it would be better to buy this if you get it with AT&T 3G 2 year agreement like the i phone... you get it for free :P

I'm just saying the I phone with predictive text fixing is good for most daily usage, but while I was just gone for 2 weeks on a trip, if I had had a keyboard like that I could for example have kept up my forum usage a lot easier and typed out full replies on what I was thinking, instead of just short 2 sentence answers.
