OK, as an update, not having much luck with the app.
I tried a few drag and drops and stuff, strait from a disk, and didn't have any luck. Even with AnyDVD running. So I tried DVDshrink, and then drag and drop into the program to resize it for Iphone, and the sound is way out of sync with the 1 episode of Futurama I tried.

I am at the moment trying FairUse program, that I did a post a long time ago about. Will let you know how that goes.

Does this app only allow .avi files? How can I convert .mkv files?

EDIT: nevermind, I just tried Handbrake that Hambergler mentioned, and that worked perfectly. I encoded an episode of Dexter and it took about 10 mins, and it played flawlessly on my Ipod Touch.

Here's another - I've used it only briefly, but it's fairly simple and there are separate versions with presets for different PMPs...

I use mediacoder to convert to h.264 and it does it well and easily
