How's the sound card working out? I'm curious to what was added to make the thing so expensive besides it being PCI Express.
I forgot about that combo deal. :-/

I just placed the order so I haven't received any of the parts. I'll try to remember and do a write-up of how it performs.

Do the Sennheiser's offer virtual surround sound? I want the headset primarily for gaming so I'd like to be able to tell when something is happening behind me.

I have sennheiser P161's and they are amazing, cheaper than the 350's and not much difference in performance from the reviews, in built mic, highly recommend them. Beautiful rig, sweet GFX card, what a beast! Not sure about virtual suround but I can pinpoint a location and direction from mine and my soundcard is a fairly basic creative soundblaster audigy.

Awesome build! I was out of commission from PC gaming for like two months before I went nuts. How did you make 2 years?

I just contacted newegg to see if they would still honor the combo deal. They're going to work it out! And everything else has already been shipped!

Yep... I picked one up on sale back when CompUSA was going out of business and I thought I was going to build sooner. Of course it's probably cheaper now but oh well.

Isn't the virtual surround sound usually software based or from the sound card?

Good question. I have no clue. Since the Creative Fatality headset comes free with the soundcard I'm going to give those a shot. If they don't work then I'll start looking at something else.
