    New Bose Gaming Heaset Designed by Mediator

    Okay so here is the long awaited Bose gaming headset designed by none other than myself. Here's the break down it:

    Bose Headphones = $99
    Microphone = $15 - $20
    Extra parts = $20

    The sum of all parts..... PRICELESS!

    I bought a headset that had a detachable mic. I got lucky in that it has a 3.5mm male jack (1/8") on it so all I had to do was buy the cord at Radio Shack and viola I had a new gaming headset with the noise cancelling bose speakers..... muhahahahaha!

    I was about to make a comment along the lines of "why would you design for overpriced Bose 'phones?" until I saw the picture.

    Nice job! Now I'm curious though...how is that microphone (and what looks like a 3.5mm jack input extension cable) attached to the side of the Bose 'phones?

    Exactly right. I have a female 3.5mm coupler inbetween the cord and the mic. So basically I have 2 cords running back to the computer, one for the mic and one for the headset.

    It's attached, believe it or not, with a product that is akin to velcro but better called Superlock that has very strong adhesive on the backside. I had the headset already that is noise cancelling and they are the best headphones I've ever had. I'm stoked now!

    Awhh! How well does the superlock stuff hold it down? Is it permanent like superglue or is it just really sticky and fast holding?

    Thats a pretty sweet idea Med. When my headphones broke i put it back together with hot glue, electrical tape and K-Nex. That supersticky stuff you have would have been perfect!
