Re: help: Win7 + 4850 = no video over DVI-to-HDMI
Glad to hear that worked !
All this silly-ness is caused from HDCP. Gotta love DRM !
Looks like monoprice that UNDEAD77 posted shows
HDMI Tin-Plated Copper CL2 Rated (for In-Wall Installation) Cable (24AWG) - 35ft (Gold Plated Connectors) productid #2742 $23.31.
Note is WAY down the page.
You wont beat this price. I cannot but at cost at this price.
Also note that with these new HDCP compliant video cards, If your monitor or TV is not on (so as to be detected by the video card) when the computer BOOTS , sometimes, the video card will Never detect and connect with video.Until you REBOOT the computer.
Same problems if running thru new sound system , receivers. If not turned on during BOOT of computer.
Wait till you play BF2142 on that giant screen ! When the enemy rushes you, and gets within inches ! I ried on 52" HDTV Sony. The view was AWESOME ! But I could not play very well like that.
